                Seniors Canada

                In November 2001, a group of decision makers from the federal and provincial governments and the volunteer sector formed an association which is committed to bringing about a transformation in the way in which programs and services are accessed by Canadian seniors, their families, caregivers and supporting service organizations. The Seniors Canada On-line Web site is a visible result of what collaboration across governments can achieve. Over time, the membership of the Canadian Seniors Partnership continues to expand.

                Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council

                The ESCC helps organizations plan and collaborate to improve programs and services for seniors. We are a communication hub for the senior sector. Through the work of ESCC, organizations that provide services to seniors have enhanced capacity and work collaboratively to provide effective, accessible services to meet diverse needs of seniors in Edmonton. Their Mission is to enhance the capacity of organizations that provide social support and recreational services to seniors through facilitating collaboration and resource sharing

                Central Lions Seniors Association

                Central Lions Seniors Association (CLSA) is an independent, non-profit society formed in 1979 "to encourage, promote and provide opportunities for recreation, education and socializing, and to improve and enhance the well-being of adults 55 years of age and older." CLSA is responsible for providing and funding all daytime recreational and social programs at Central Lions Seniors Recreation Centre.

                Meals On Wheels

                Edmonton Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit organization that has been serving the elderly and housebound in Edmonton for over 40 years. Our programs include hot meal delivery, frozen meals, grocery delivery, lunch club catering and nutrition workshops.
                 NOTE: Meals on Wheels HEAT 'N' EAT Frozen Entrees now available for purchase from ESC.

                North Edmonton Seniors Association

                The North Edmonton Seniors Association (NESA), originally formed as the Northgate Seniors Citizens Association (NSCA), is an independent, non-profit society formed in 1978 to provide "recreational, social, educational and health-related programs and services for seniors (age 55+ years)." The NESA is the largest senior's organization in Edmonton, responsible for providing Edmonton's most comprehensive older adult recreational and social program.

                SAGE (Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton)

                The Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton is a full service not-for-profit seniors' organization whose mandate is to build and maintain a broad range of programs and services that enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families in the greater Edmonton area. With over 40 years of experience, SAGE is regarded as a major provider of innovative seniors' services in the capital region.

                The Westend Seniors Activity Centre was founded as the Edmonton Self Starters Organization in 1978, and for more than 25 years now, has supported seniors in west Edmonton, providing social, recreation, health, fitness and special interest activities to help seniors remain active and vital. We give seniors age 55 and up the opportunity to lead an active, healthy lifestyle.  Every day the Centre is filled with seniors taking part in educational, recreational, and social programs. Most importantly, we bring seniors together, givng them a place to socialize and share experiences, and make them part of a supportive community.
